3. Specific Application:

In the production process of industrial ceramics, a critical circle is kiln firing, that is, the heat treatment process of green block. For industrial ceramics of different materials, the kiln temperature needed during sintering ranges from 1,000℃ to 1,800℃; therefore, ordinary metal heating materials cannot meet the sintering temperatures. Because silicon carbide rods (silicon carbide electrical heating elements) and silicon molybdenum rod (molybdenum disilicide electrical heating elements) have good high-temperature usability and are applicable to kiln environments with a temperature ranging from 800 ~1,400℃ and 1,200 ~ 1,830℃ respectively, they are widely used in the sintering circle of industrial ceramics.

Songshan silicon carbide rod, that is, silicon carbide electrical heating element, uses advanced production technology, strict process management and unique rod treatment technology, achieves a greater density, a higher operating temperature, and can still maintain good performance and service life in harsh environments like strong acid and strong alkali. For the sintering circle of industrial ceramics, if using tunnel kilns as industrial furnaces for firing, it is generally divided into a low-temperature area and a high-temperature area. The heating temperature of a silicon carbide rod is between 800 and 1,400℃, so silicon carbide rods are also used as heating elements in the low temperature area of the sintering furnace of industrial ceramics.

Songshan silicon molybdenum rod, that is, molybdenum disilicide heating element, is made with world-advanced hot bending process. It is an extremely pure rod material; the use of multiple fine production processes makes the rod have excellent industrial properties. The highest temperature of the rod body can be up to 1,850℃, while the FBT (furnace box temperature) of the corresponding industrial furnace can be up to 1,830℃. Songshan silicon molybdenum rod can generate a layer of compact and smooth quartz protective film on the surface naturally, which can effectively control the erosion and corrosion of all kinds of harsh environments to the rod body, thus making the silicon molybdenum rod can perform well and have a longer service life in different environments. Silicon molybdenum rods are mostly used in environments with an industrial furnace temperature of 1,400~1,830℃; and under such an environment, since the temperature is so high, requirements to silicon molybdenum rods are also extremely high. For common silicon molybdenum rods seen in the Chinese market, because the production technologies are ordinary; control over raw materials and the process is not strict enough, then when the working temperature of the industrial furnace or muffle furnace is at or above 1,650℃, the body of such ordinary silicon molybdenum rods will be oxygenized sharply, which will lead to the rater short service life of the rod.

Therefore, for industrial ceramics, especially high-grade industrial ceramics, the sintering temperature is generally between 1,600 and 1,800 ℃. Songshan silicon molybdenum rod is the best choice.
